Did you know that about 94 school shootings have occurred since 2010?
That is a scary thought.
There are people now debating on high security, police patrol on the campuses...
And one interesting topic came up for me while I was researching this. (Doing a debate presentation for class).
What if we put guns in the hands of our teachers?
There is so much debate about it. But how do you whiddle it all down?
Personally, I would have to be on the con side, but it is an interesting topic.
What would you say to the idea of training teachers to handle weapons, and licensing them to protect their students?
I think there is a middle ground, my entire group agrees.
Instead of guns, give them a taser. It would be locked up in their desk, where they could reach it, without it being in the open area. If a shooter came in...boom he's down!
What are your thoughts?
