Call me a dork...but I'm spazzing with excitement.
You might spaz too!
Ever heard of a show called 'Happening 68'?
Of course you wouldn't...
It was a live show that played on national television (US) in the 60's.
Why am I stoked about an old television show?
I'll admit...
95% of what I saw on that show was absolute crap...
And no...I'm not old enough to have seen it live.
I watched it on a DVD, deal with it.
From the retarded, sexist, demeaning cover girl commercials that are meant to make young hippie girls feel like they need make up to look good when they go on a date with a man...
To the long winded commercials about special watches and brief cases that contestants can win if the judges like their music best...
I overall hated the experience of watching through this show for that small piece that I really wanted to see.
In 1968, a band called The Soul Symbol played on this show...
Though they did not win, I think they should have.
I won't lie, they played a classic that I love...
"I Feel Good" originally sung by James Brown.
Love it. Love everything about it.
It's the song they played and it was amazing.
Sadly, I cannot find this episode on internet. I do know that it is season 2, episode 21.
What is special about this episode?
The band...
What is so special about this band?
The Soul Symbol was my uncle's band when he was 15. Next to the guitar player, the bassist Earl James Raasch plays on the instrument provided to him by the studio.
How can this not be cool?
It is so cool!
So yea...
I just wanted to share that...
I thought it was cool.
But unless you like old black and white shows from the 60's, then I don't advise buying any volume of the show.
