Well, I am home.
I mean home as in my permanent home.
Back with my family.
Away from the coast if you will.
This Christmas I have gotten an early present (much to my grandmother's dismay)...a new laptop!
It's a touchscreen and it seems I am less in touch with technology than I thought. This thing is like an iPad with a built in keyboard. Not really...that...
Well it's great.
It's just different.
The keys are amazing. I love the feel of the board.
But having to touch the screen has already smeared it with finger prints I have to clean everyday...like I didn't have that problem enough with my other computer. LOL
There is no lock on the mouse pad either, so while I am typing, I have to be careful.
Every been tapping away at the keys when your palm accidentally touches the mouse pad, and you don't realize until it is too late and your fingers have filled whatever was highlighted with what was supposed to come next?
That happens to me all of the time.
That was why I always used this fun little button on the mouse pad of my other computer...it locks the mouse so you don't have to try to avoid it.
But this computer doesn't have that button...
It doesn't have scrolling capabilities either...so I have to touch the screen every time I want to scroll up or down...can't avoid it...
Sure there are the bars on the right hand side (usually) but that is and even bigger pain. I'm not even sure how to describe it, on any other computer it would be simple to click and drag a scroll bar.
Not even sure how to explain it...
It goes without saying thought that I am thankful to have this new laptop. Hell I'm glad to have a laptop at all!
It's just I'm already planning some of mya difficult readjustment. It also means that writing will be difficultly slow as well.
Fingers crossed that I can get one more title finished by new years...think I can do it?
Already I am building my new years resolutions.
