UPDATES UPDATES UPDATES!
...
Shut up voice in my head!
...
...
But it's true.
...
I've updated the website again.
I'm not sure if I'm truly wanting to be up to date, or if I'm just trying to kill space between the wholesome fun in my head and the wondrous silence that resides from one end of a blog to the tail end of my website.
Not a thing seems to happen.
And though there are people who will lay claim that they are reading some piece...some posted literature...
Not a one of them has an opinion to place...or...just a thought?
Eh, I guess this is going to be another rant...
Well, before I really get into it, maybe you haven't seen my website yet?
It's really cool and I am trying to keep it in a way that is reliable for people.
Which is a problem...
For me...
It's not generally a problem. It's usually a good thing. Convenience makes a site easier to navigate, thus good!
But, I get into this conundrum that I'm pondering over right now...
RIGHT NOW!
When I should really be thinking about the fluency of my speech for tomorrow. I'm stuck pondering in my head whether certain things are "convenient," "useful" and "enjoyable."
Above all, I try to make my site look nice, with a pleasant aesthetic for the eyes...such as alignment.
Most things are aligned well...
If you see something that's not, it's on purpose...for my taste in aesthetics needs a little chaos.
Anyways, I have had two different people have thoughts about my site.
One...I'm not going to take so seriously because it was some "Joe Blow" off a forum site who saw my site link and started bashing me in a forum that was not meant for such critique about how my website was poorly laid out and did not warn people that the bookstore links led away from the site...
Oh dear!
But seriously...he was critiquing my bookstore, and the idea of how I need to present myself for selling book...something I don't take very seriously...
Rather, I find importance in the audience...and gathering an audience is hard work... U_U
I should know after three years of publishing my work online and in print for readers.
The other critique I take in stride better, both because it's positive, and because it's more respective of the site as an entirety...but it doesn't override the other because I do need some negative criticism...which I can't get from this person...
Basically, they said that my site was fairly easy to navigate and had many fun things (like the book catalog's fun page flipping feature) that made the site an overall aesthetic joy.
In the end, it's a form of presentation that bugs me...it bugs me to pieces...
And with nobody else stepping up telling me what they like and dislike about the site and stories, I start to ponder and it's kind of a depressive spiral...
But I'll stay up beat...
Personally, I like my site, but it's not about...
Another important thing though, and this is what bugs me from the negative criticism, is the information...is it enough?
See, he was mad that I didn't smack him in the face with anything and everything to know about the site right then and there for the book store...but space is limited and I can't do too much...
So where's the line between enough and not enough information?
Your thoughts?
Also...
I am going to bring this up because the critique brought this up too...
I'm a struggling artist trying to show my talent to an audience I'm struggling to gain...I don't have money to spoon out monthly for a site that would be shut down at any point in time that I couldn't pay for it...
So, my site is a purely free site...it was made for free...it runs for free...
Since in the long run, it makes me $0 USD income, I won't be forking out anything to upgrade this...
So, the site runs just fine...it's not affected by what browser you use or what you do on the site...
If you have a bad connection, I'm sorry, that's your network's issue.
If you have any thoughts or questions, please leave me a comment!
Also, check out my website (if you haven't already)!
